Navigating the Secondment Worker Visa Requirements
Embarking on the path to securing a UK Global Business Mobility Visa as a secondment worker involves a series of crucial steps. The role you intend to undertake must be considered as at or above the bachelor’s degree level (RQF 6).
The UK sponsor must be eligible to issue a CoS under the UK Secondment Worker route. They will need evidence of an investment or contract for goods or services with an overseas business worth at least £10 million per year and no less than £50 million. Essentially, if the duration of the contract is less than five years, it must be at least £50 million in value. The agreement must be valued at least £10 million per year if it is five years plus. If the contract has no express end date, it must be worth at least £50 million over the first five years. This is known as the ‘eligible contract requirement’.
You must have held £1,270 in savings for 28 days before the date of application, or an A-rated Home Office sponsor may certify that they will provide this on the CoS. Further funds must be held for each dependant family member applying.
